Thundering Valley Raceway, Inc. is located at 377 Palmyra Road in Saint Albans, Maine, just seven miles from exit 157 off Interstate 95. TVR is the first design-built modified kart racing facility in the State of Maine. The one-fifth mile, tri-oval has all the amenities of a modem era racing facility - lighted asphalt track and pit area, grandstands, scoring tower, parts building, concessions, restrooms, the AMB Electronic Scoring and Timing System, and ample parking. Modified kart racing in the fastest growing motorsports venue and the only one that allows the whole family to actively participate.

Thundering Valley Raceway holds racing events for drivers starting at age 5. Racers come from all over New England to participate in eight divisions, racing in heat and feature races for trophies and points. Check the schedule and division page to see where you may fit in to our program.

We invite all racers and race fans to our facility to have a great time and see some exciting racing. Contact us anytime if you have questions or are interested in getting into racing karts.

What's New:

Saturday, August 9th started out bright and sunny with one hour of
practice completed. Then after a brief downpour, we got the track dried and
started in with our regular race program at 5:40 PM. We held a Double
Features/Double Points night to make up the rain cancelled races from
August 2nd. Thanks to all our race teams that helped with the track drying
and made it possible to get in some racing action! Due to the approaching
fog, the Sportsman Rally Race #3 was postponed and will be made up on
August 30th. Be sure to check out the race results (two of them) and all
those smiling faces in the photo gallery. Notice the wet pant legs in the Kid
Kart Division picture - we all went home with wet feet!

No racing at TVR the weekend of August 16th.

There will be a Wednesday evening practice on August 20th from 6-9 PM.
Concessions will not be open this night.

Our Racing Against Cancer fund-raising night will take place on Saturday, August 23rd. We'll have a track walk in memory of relatives and friends that have battled this disease at the break. Also a bake sale in the spectator area will take place. $5.00 from every driver race entry will be donated to the cause and racers are encouraged to collect donations for their track
walk. Contact Marti if you have any questions or wish to help out.

The new TVR sweatshirts have arrived and are ready for purchase. They have an added line on the logo to celebrate our tenth season. Sizes available include Youth - small, medium and large, and Adult - small through 2X large. They are available at the parts building. New this season are Mechanic Gloves from TRP. They are also available at the parts window!

Just a reminder that a "Punch Card" of pit passes is available this season - 12 entries for the price of 10.  These are available at the registration booth.

Jim Parent from Parent Photo was here recently and plans to make a return visit before the end of the season.  His pix can be viewed at www.parentphoto.lifepics.com and when prompted, enter the words "Parent Photo".  He does a great job getting those action  photographs!

For our weekly racers, the track is available for rent. Cost for a three hour time block is $100.00, with a kart limit of 3.  Each additional kart will be charged $34.00.  Call the track line to make reservations.

Remember that TVR is a full service kart shop, too. We try our best to have any part you may need for your racing machine and if we don't have it in stock, we'll get it for you real quick! Nate is also available to help any racer set up, scale and adjust your kart.

For more information, check out the most current offering of the News from the Valley on the newsletter page of this web site!

Shop Hours are by appointment only during the off season.  Please call the track line at 938-3007 to make an appointment.
